Art as Adoration for Advent

Join us as we usher in the Advent season with a restful evening of beautiful music, prayer, and story. 

On Sunday, November 28th at 7 PM at Corhaven (and broadcast online)​​​​​​​, Ken Wettig (our Community Minister for the Shenandoah Valley) will be joined by Seth Crissman of The Walking Roots Band to help us reflect together on what it means to use art as a way to adore Jesus.  Seth will share some of his favorite music, including from a new Advent project he is working on, as we worship by waiting for Emmanuel– God who draws near to us.

• This will be a hybrid event, so you are able to attend in-person or online. 
  • Please select either the online or in-person session for this event when you register. 
  • For all who attend in person: masks will be required for all who are not vaccinated; if you are vaccinated, masks are recommended.
    • We only have room for 30 people in person, so sign up soon!

The Walking Roots Band (TWRB) is an acoustic, Americana, folksy, blue-ish-grassy, roots music group based in Harrisonburg, VA. Steeped in Anabaptist hymn-singing traditions, the band’s original folk music and reclaimed hymns are supported with lush vocal harmonies. The music speaks of hope, whether through sacred words written hundreds of years ago or in the honest voice of one of the band’s songwriters. TWRB doesn’t make music full-time, but when they are able to tour, perform, record, or even just get together to practice and arrange new music, they are thankful for the fans, family, and friends who make it all possible.
