Coracle Weekend Grief Retreat (Application)

God created us for deep, secure connection and when those connections are broken we grieve, not as people without hope, but we grieve.  And the grief is painful and it endures.

Thank you for expressing interest in our Coracle weekend learning from loss together. Due to the vulnerability involved in processing loss in the community with others, we want to discern together with you if this retreat will be helpful for you.  

We will be using a 2 part application process.  Filling out this information is Part 1. Once we receive Part 1, a Coracle team member will contact you to schedule a ½ hour conversation with Scott Buresh (our retreat facilitator) and another member of our Coracle team.   

We see these conversations as a valuable opportunity for us to clarify expectations and discern together if this will be a safe and beneficial context for you.  

Once both parts are complete, our team will promptly inform you whether or not your placement has been confirmed.  Further instructions with payment information, logistics, and any preparatory work will be sent at that time.    

We want to offer you a peaceful filled gathering space at the Claggett Center just south of Frederick, Maryland for the weekend of April 5th-7th, 2024 for an intimate gathering of 10-12 people who are hungry for an opportunity to process and learn from their painful losses in the safety of others who share their pain.

Each participant will have the option of a private or shared room for couples at no additional cost. All meals are provided beginning with dinner Friday, ending with brunch Sunday at noon and tasty baked goods and refreshments along the way.

 The weekend cost is $350 per person.

**Scholarship cost is min. $150** (If you are able to pay above this amount please do so as an additional donation.)

** We believe that finances should never be a barrier to anyone who wants to pursue God through our programs and resources. Please let us know if you will need help with the cost during the interview time.
